Developmental Evaluation Pilot Activity - Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning Innovations (DEPA-MERL) is the first major effort to pilot Developmental Evaluation (DE) at USAID. The DE approach is designed to support learning and strategic adaptation of innovative projects, programs, or activities, untested theories of change, and/or implementation in complex contexts.

Balkans Regional IDIQ

West Bank Youth Cohort Study

Social Impact is designing and implementing a longitudinal study to examine the effects of the USAID-funded Youth Development Resource Centers in the West Bank. The Youth Cohort Study will also gauge the capacity of the Centers as epicenters for youth development, and inform programming in the region that is tailored to the Palestinian context.

Strategic Planning & Change Management Support

USAID’s Bureau for Management, Office of Management Services (M/MS) engaged Social Impact from 2015-17 to finalize and roll out new strategic plans and corresponding performance metrics for three of its stakeholder groups, including Executive Officers (EXOs) at USAID overseas Missions. In addition, SI is advising M/MS on change management for the successful implementation of these new Operations Strategies and metrics.

Partnership for Education: Evaluating Systems

Social Impact provides technical assistance and capacity building support to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to develop a systematic, and responsive monitoring and evaluation system. The support is aimed at helping the Government of Ghana to achieve its basic education sector priorities, specifically for improving primary school reading performance.
