Social Impact was contracted by UNICEF to provide real-time feedback and generate learning to inform their global response to COVID-19. Given the breadth of UNICEF’s response, this developmental evaluation will entail an examination of UNICEF’s operations, communications, supply chain, programming, resource mobilization and more. The team will also analyze learnings from previous pandemic responses to inform the current approach. Given the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, SI’s evaluation will be conducted in ‘real-time’ both by collecting data on an ongoing basis, and by monitoring and contributing to the decision-making process. Ultimately, SI seeks to provide a structure to reflect, learn, and identify adaptations during the response’s early phases.
