As Vice President of People and Culture, Eskedar is a member of the Senior Management team and leads the Human Resources division as well as leading people-and culture-focused strategic objectives in support of SI’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives. Through her role leading SI’s People and Culture work, Eskedar manages core HR functions and oversees SI’s vision for creating and fostering a connected and inclusive company culture for attracting, developing and retaining exceptional and engaged employees. Eskedar also advises SI’s country offices on high-level personnel issues including HR policy and legal matters.

Eskedar woks to collaboratively develop and implement a wide array of organizational practices related to DEI, including help guide the work of SI’s Pro-Equity Task Force and spearheading the implementation of recommendations emerging from the Task Force and the Senior Management Team. In addition to her role on the Task Force, Eskedar partners with staff to further their personal and professional learning & development by providing coaching, resources, trainings, and opportunities for growth. Eskedar works to build an engaging and equitable company culture at SI by providing strategic direction on initiatives to build cultural competency, anti-racist approaches, disability-inclusive practices, and more.

Eskedar is a seasoned HR and DEI executive with over 16 years of international and domestic professional experience, many of which have been spent directly leading and supporting people in the human capital and DEI spaces. She originally joined SI in May 2017, and after a brief hiatus, rejoined as a VP in September 2020. Eskedar has a Master of Business Administration with a focus on leadership and human capital management, holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute and has extensive training in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging and leadership development.
