We’re pleased to announce we have established a presence in Uganda. Under the prime contractor Social & Scientific Systems, Inc., we are supporting the USAID Strategic Information Technical Support (SITES) project.
After years of working in Uganda, we are pleased to have our three person team based in Kampala.
The purpose of SITES is to facilitate, promote, and enhance evidence-based programming and reporting in Uganda’s health system, particularly its response against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Social Impact serves as the Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) partner on the project. We are leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data to support SITES’ goal of improving use of evidence-based programming and reporting. SI’s core approach to CLA involves strategic stakeholder engagement and leverages experiential learning to influence adaptive programming.
“We’re pleased to expand our health-focused work in Eastern Africa. Our long-term on the ground presence will allow us to deepen our engagement and maximize learning from development activities in Uganda,” commented SI Executive Vice President Kerry Bruce.
