Headshot of Nancy MurrayWe are thrilled to welcome Nancy Murray to Social Impact (SI) as our new Vice President for Evaluation, Research, and Analytics (ERA). Nancy brings an exceptional depth of expertise, leadership, and passion for evidence-based solutions that advance global development outcomes.

With over 30 years of experience leading international research and evaluation initiatives, Nancy has dedicated her career to improving health, education, and economic opportunities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Her leadership spans projects funded by USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and some of the world’s leading philanthropic organizations, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Nancy has built an impressive reputation for designing and overseeing complex multi-country evaluations that deliver actionable insights. Her work has driven progress in key areas, such as maternal and child health and nutrition, family planning, women’s economic empowerment, and education. She has also played a pivotal role in supporting organizations in building monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks that strengthen program impact at local, regional, and global levels.

Nancy holds a Ph.D. in Population Dynamics from The Johns Hopkins University and dual master’s degrees—an M.P.H. in Population and Maternal and Child Health and an M.A. in Latin American Studies—from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her B.S. in International Politics, cum laude, from Georgetown University.

At SI, Nancy will lead the ERA team, providing a strategic vision to advance SI’s mission of improving the effectiveness of global development programs through rigorous evaluation, data-driven research, and innovative analytics. Her leadership will help SI continue to deliver the high-quality evidence and learning our clients and partners rely on to create a lasting impact.
