Following a rigorous vetting process assessing her contributions to the field of public administration and policy, Social Impact Chief Executive Officer Shiro Gnanaselvam was selected as a National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) Fellow. The NAPA, a nonprofit charted by the U.S. Congress, provides non-partisan advice to government leaders on creating transparent, effective, and accountable organizations. Shiro is one of 39 individuals chosen for the 2021 Class of Academy Fellows. She joins a cohort of over 900 fellows – former cabinet members, members of congress, public and private sector leaders and academics – who have been named since the founding of NAPA in 1967.
President and CEO of the Academy, Terry Gerton, remarked, “our distinguished Fellows are nationally recognized for their expertise in the field of public administration and this year’s incoming class is no exception.”
“It is such an honor to have been selected as a NAPA fellow and to now be part of this group of esteemed leaders and thinkers. I look forward to collaborating with and learning from them in the coming years,” said Shiro upon accepting her fellowship.
Shiro has provided exemplary leadership at SI through periods of growth and transition including our graduation from Small Business status, and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the company and its employees. We congratulate her for achieving this honor.
