At the AEA 2017 Evaluation Conference, participants explored “Overcoming Obstacles to Evaluation Use: Perspectives from Donors and Evaluators.” Among other things, experts on both sides admitted that often evaluation reports are too long, too dense, and written for a narrow technical audience. Social Impact, along with MasterCard Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Freedom House, and USAID, presented six key takeaways for making evaluations useful.
