Carly has over fourteen years of experience working in international development with over ten years leading surveys, evaluations, and special studies in sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia. As a Research Director in SI’s Evaluation, Research, and Analytics (ERA) division Carly provides leadership and technical oversight for a portfolio of evaluations for Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and other development partners. Her most recent work focuses on energy and natural resource management including impact evaluations of MCC’s Off-Grid Energy Project in Benin and USAID’s Resilient Ecosystems and Sustainable Transformation of Rural Economies in Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire. Carly is also co-chair of SI’s Institutional Review Board and part of the ERA management team supporting staff recruitment, resourcing, development, and growth.

Prior to joining Social Impact, Carly worked as the Country Representative for Innovations for Poverty Action in Malawi where oversaw evaluations in health, household finance, governance, livelihoods and resilience, and education. She holds a Master of Public Policy and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
