As a Technical Director of Impact Evaluation at Social Impact, Ben leads the design and technical oversight of research projects around the world. He has over 10 years of professional experience in analytical policy research, experimental and quasi-experimental impact evaluations, and applied econometrics. He has designed or managed more than a dozen large-scale field research projects across a wide range of sectors and countries. He presents regularly at international conferences, and his research has been published in top academic journals, including the American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, Social Science and Medicine, and BMJ Global Health, among others. Prior to joining SI, Ben worked as a Senior Research, Education, and Training Manager at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at MIT.

Ben has a PhD in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Government from Colby College.
