Partnership for Education: Evaluating Systems

Social Impact provides technical assistance and capacity building support to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to develop a systematic, and responsive monitoring and evaluation system. The support is aimed at helping the Government of Ghana to achieve its basic education sector priorities, specifically for improving primary school reading performance.

Discovery Project on Girls’ Education

In Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria, the Discovery Project worked to improve girls’ education through use of technology in the classroom, teacher training, community engagement and outreach. Through rigorous impact evaluations SI examined the impacts of the project on girls’ enrollment, attendance, and learning, and on teaching skills, student motivation, and parental attitudes towards girls education.

YALI Regional Leadership Centers Learning Partner

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centers (RLC) in Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa work to train young leaders in leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional development. As The MasterCard Foundation’s Learning Partner, Social Impact developed and is implementing a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Framework for the RLCs.
