Under contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Social Impact (SI) will collect data to measure the midline status of key indicators for USAID/Haiti’s Early Reading Project (ERP). ERP is a two-year intervention in early grade reading in the first two grades of primary school in up to approximately 450 public, community, and semi-private Haitian schools.

As part of this, SI is looking to procure the services of a local data collection firm to manage in-country data collection for this activity. Please see the full Request for Proposals (RFP) for details. This impact evaluation is intended to assess the effectiveness of the ERP intervention on early grade reading among grade 1 and grade 2 students in targeted schools as compared to their peers in non-targeted homologous schools. Data collection is anticipated to start in April of 2019. Local partners will be required to adhere to SI’s rigorous data quality standards among other requirements (see RFP).

This RFP is for the quantitative midline data collection for this impact evaluation. An RFP for the qualitative midline data collection activities is being released simultaneously. Please note that bidders are welcome to submit proposals to both RFPs separately.
