Amanda L. Rodriguez heads the Finance Division at Social Impact. As the Vice President of Finance and Contracts, she reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Rodriguez is responsible for the strategic oversight of the company’s financial and accounting functions, including management of financial risks, corporate financial analysis, and management of company’s systems, policies, and procedures affecting financial performance.
Ms. Rodriguez has over twenty-four years of financial and organizational management experience in the commercial, humanitarian and international development sectors. As a senior team member of major international non-profit and private organizations, and as an independent consultant, Ms. Rodriguez has successfully guided company teams through significant growth and change.
Ms. Rodriguez has excelled in the management of multimillion-dollar community-based programs, and in establishing operations in challenging settings, post-conflict, and post-natural disaster environments such as Ingushetia/Chechnya, Haiti, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Tajikistan.
As an independent consultant, Ms. Rodriguez applied her expertise to operations, internal controls and compliance issues of major international community development organizations. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial Officer of the Development Innovations Group. Previously, she served as Country-Executive Director for Global Communities in Tajikistan and Mexico and as Director Finance and Administration in El Salvador and Nicaragua. Ms. Rodriguez also worked as Financial Controller for the International Rescue Committee in Russia. She began her community development career as a business consultant and Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine. She also has experience in Finance in the private sector working with leading multinationals. Ms. Rodriguez has expert knowledge of policies, controls and reporting requirements of U.S. government agencies and prominent international development clients and donors.
Ms. Rodriguez has a B.S. in Management Studies and an M.A. in Sustainable Development. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French and Portuguese.
