I joined SI in 2013 where I first worked as a Program Associate and then as a Program Manager within SI’s Strategy, Performance, and Capacity Building (SPCB) division. I worked primarily as an M&E trainer and results-based management specialist, and one of my first assignments was developing a gender mainstreaming plan for the African Development Bank in Tunisia.
In 2016 I became a Deputy Director within SI’s Performance Evaluation division. I now split my time between conducting performance evaluations, making internal staffing decisions, and providing supervision and mentorship to SI colleagues. Although I really enjoy evaluation work, one of the best things about my current role is interacting with and supporting the SI staff I supervise, since they are so talented and committed to quality monitoring and evaluation work.
I have an M.S. in International Social Work from Columbia University, and although my background is in social protection I am exposed to other development sectors and regions via my evaluation work, which ensures that I am continually learning. I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Senegal (2007-2009), speak Wolof and French, and am a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT).
