Goal:

The project aims to strengthen USAID health sector staff capacity to lead and manage health programs by providing resources, sharing knowledge, building capacity, managing performance, and maximizing learning opportunities.

Activities:

Social Impact leads the organizational development (OD) component of GHPOD II which designs and delivers activities that improve an organization’s capacity to handle its internal and external relationships and operations. This includes teambuilding, developing effective communication, change management, conflict management, and improved planning. GHPOD II’s current focus is to integrate organizational development, professional development, and coaching to provide an optimum learning experience.

Results:

From 2012 – 2016, in the first iteration of GHPOD the project

  • Completed interventions in over 25 countries
  • Carried out over 150 organizational development assignments (i.e assessments, meetings, retreats, long-term interventions at missions)
  • Conducted over 170 professional development trainings in areas including: team effectiveness, management and leadership, and staff performance management.
